Apple CarPlay™
CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car. CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and puts them right on your car’s built-in display. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music, all in a way that allows you to stay focused on the road. Just connect your iPhone and go.
Music
Access all of your content from iTunes, your Apple Music membership, and additional audio apps using your car’s built-in controls. Or just tell Siri what you’d like to hear. You can also enjoy For You and Browse from Apple Music — with songs, artists, and albums handpicked by experts, plus selections based on your preferences — right on your display.
Maps
The power and simplicity of Apple Maps and newly added Google Maps and Waze are now available on your dashboard. CarPlay can predict where you most likely want to go using addresses from your email, texts, contacts, and calendars. You can also search along your route for nearby gas stations, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. Maps will even estimate how long the detour will take.
Siri Hands-Free
CarPlay features Siri voice control and is specially designed for driving scenarios. CarPlay also works with your car’s controls — knobs, buttons, touchpad, or touchscreen. And the apps themselves have been reimagined for the car, so you can use them while your eyes and hands stay where they belong. Make calls, return missed calls, and listen to voicemail. Siri can help you do all of these things. All you have to do is ask.
Messages
Reading and writing is now listening and dictating. Siri can send, read, and reply to your text messages for you, so you never have to look at your iPhone while driving. CarPlay plays audio messages too, so you can hear from people in their own voices.
Android MHL PhoneLink
VRCP-65 also includes Android MHL PhoneLink mobile device integration. PhoneLink enables complete control of select Android smartphones from the touch screen of the VRCP-65. No special cables required, simply use the charging cable that came with your device. Conveniently launch any application, play your own videos and all other content. Your smart device display is mirrored to the head unit’s larger LCD screen via simple USB connection. Android MHL PhoneLink ensures safe, hands-free operation of devices without distraction.
